 As the Human Resource Manager of a Travel Agency it is your responsibility to make


sure that the diversity policy for the organisation is upheld.

 You are required to write a report that highlights the benefits of workplace diversity when
combined with recruiting and selecting staff to join your organisation.
 You must mention at least 4 benefits to the organisation from recruiting a diverse
workforce

 Your report must be at least 500 + words in length
 Within the report you need to address the following
o Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to ensure currency and
efficacy of diversity policy
o Address own prejudices and demonstrate respect for difference in personal
interactions
o Aim for diversity in selecting and recruiting staff
o Identify and address training needs to address issues of difference in the team
o Manage tensions and encourage collaboration and respect between staff who
struggle to work effectively with difference
o Promote the organisation’s workforce diversity in internal and external forums to
enhance the company’s image and reputation
o Manage allegations of harassment and address complaints according to
established organisational procedures
