1. According to the Do What You Are Inventory, what is your (letter combination)
“Personality Type”? List here your strengths and blindspots. ESFP
Possible Strengths

● Positive and upbeat attitude; makes the negotiating process enjoyable and fun
● Ability to adapt well to change and quickly alter your approach
● Genuine fondness for people, which makes others feel comfortable
● Very observant and has the ability to assess situations and resources realistically
● Desire to achieve an outcome beneficial to all parties, which fosters cooperation

Possible Blind Spots

● Maytake things too literally and miss underlying issues and their meaning
● May be too accommodating in a desire to promote harmonious relationships
● May become defensive when receiving feedback you perceive as negative
● May become easily distracted and lose focus
● May be too naive and not think strategically enough

2. Consider your college satisfiers and career satisfiers in a short paragraph. Does
anything surprise you about these results? How can you consider this as you make
college and career choices?
The only thing that really surprised me about my results was one of my college satisfiers. That was that I would
like to be able to express myself artistically. I don’t really consider myself a very creative or artistically talented
person, although sometimes I like to pretend I am, so I wouldn’t have thought that that would be on my list. In
using this list, I can help to look at what I may be interested and what college offer activities, courses, or even
majors that offer the same things. Using this list may help me to narrow down my choices or help me to find
new colleges I might be interested in.

3. Look at your learning style. What aspects of this surprises you or reinforces what you
already knew? Make sure to support your answer with evidence from your own
academic career so far. How do you envision your learning style will make a difference
as you move forward with school and career?
I already knew that I like to have a fast paced schedule where I am moving quite often rather than a daily
schedule where I am sitting for hours at a time at either a desk or workspace. (Unless I am working on
something that I really enjoy). I also already knew that I like to work in cooperative groups while learning in a
way that is fun or interesting. I know that I am a visual learner so I like when things are demonstrated, that way
I can see and understand everything clearly. What I was kind of surprised to read was that I have an
eagerness to participate. I don’t think that I am someone to always jump up and participate as soon as
someone needs a volunteer but I do like to help others so as long as I feel comfortable in the situation, I think I
am generally pretty quick to help out.

4. Of the long list of careers recommended for people with your Personality Type, select
five that might interest you and type here the five and at least one major needed to enter
each field.
I could be an Occupational Therapists and major in Occupational Therapy.
I could also be a Counseling Psychologist and major in Psychology.
Being a Sales Manager seems pretty interesting to me so I could major in Business/ Commerce
(general).
Although I didn’t think I would get anything related to this, I could be a Fashion Designer and major in
Graphic Design/ Marketing.
I really do want to help regulate supply and demand so I could become an Economist and study
Economics (general) throughout college.
