Identifies the information related to hazardous chemicals in the process, process technology, and
process equipment
2. Ensures the availability of accurate information to all employees and reviews the information on a
regular basis

4. Provides reviews to Operating Procedures to ensure that each OP contains systematic actions for
start up normal operations, emergency operations, and normal shutdown
5. Assists Project/Operation team in conducting safety reviews on all documents/operating procedures
and ensures that they are updated
6. Conducts hazard evaluation and banish list are completed correctly
7. Ensures all employees are informed and trained on the new process changes
8. Ensures all equipment and instruments are inspected and tested on a regular basis (such as PSV,
tank, interlock systems, etc.)
9. Ensures employees who perform the test and inspections are trained and certified such as craftsman
(welders)
6. Proposes process changes to the unit to improve safety operation
7. Leads cross-functional teams to deliver improvements to the Site’s safety systems and processes

10. Assists the project team in implementing the safety system in the project and the operational
readiness planning
8. Monitors compliance with safety management programs and identifies processes of concern and
proposed corrective actions to improve safety performance
9. Conducts periodic audit of the Process Safety Program to ensure their effectiveness
11. Leads the audit team from different areas

Responsible for monitoring, controlling, optimization and improvement for day to day safe and efficient operation
of Low Density Poly Ethylene or Petrochemicals Utilities plants

- Monitor, coordinate & control raw materials, Utilities & chemicals daily specific consumption
- Raise MOC for plant Improvements, Recommendation & coordinate/follow up with Technical services and
Engineering teams for all technical matters like HAZOP, etc till commissioning
- Initiate Purchase Orders and follow up chemical consumption and costs related issues for Operation
- Provide special training to operation staff and assist superintendent for the recruitment
- Monitor Plant Performance by Identification of plant problems and follow up for rectification on daily basis to
ensure safe & efficient operation of plant
- Prepare Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly and other Production reports & Presentation
- Review and update SOP, Work Instruction, Other Quality documents & records
- Liaison with licensor and other expertise group to assess, evaluate process parameters, technical & product
quality problems for optimization with respect to product, process development program
- Plan for materials required and liaison with procurement dept. /vendors for inventory, delivery and required
treatment of chemicals /waste etc.
- Follow up plant start up & shutdown activities and Coordinate with Specialist & Shift Supervisors during
emergency & crisis
- Coordinate with planning & Maintenance department for day to day, preventive and turnaround maintenance
activities
- Participate and follow up weekly plant safety tour & Integrated Management system in dept.
- Control operation Safety related Documents such as Fire Fighting Equipment Checklist, Locked Open/Locked
Closed Checklist, Caps and Drains Checklist, Blind lists.
- Coordinate on the job training for new team members & enhances knowledge of existing personnel
