Padma Vibhusham 2018

The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India; Bharat
Ratna is the highest, Padma Bhushan third-ranking. Instituted on 2
January 1954, the award is given for "exceptional and distinguished
service", without distinction of race, occupation, position, or sex. The
award criteria include "service in any field including service rendered by
Government servants" including doctors and scientists, but excluding
those working with the public sector undertakings. As of 2017, the award
has been bestowed on 300 individuals, including twelve posthumous and
19 non-citizen recipients.

Padma Bhushan 2018
The Padma Bhushan is the third-highest civilian award in the Republic of India, preceded by the

Padma Shri 2018
Padma Shri (also Padma Shree) is the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of
India, after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan. Awarded
by the Government of India, it is announced every year on India's Republic Day.

Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (Akademi Award) ( IPA : Saṅgīta Nākaka Akādamī Puraskāra) is
an award given by the Music Natak Akademi , India's National
Academy of Music, Dance & Drama. It is the highest Indian
recognition given practicing artists. The award consists since 2003 of
Rs. 50,000, a citation, an angavastram (a shawl ), and a tamrapatra (a
brass plaque). [2] The awards were given in the categories of music,
dance, theater, other traditional arts and puppetry, and for
contribution / scholarship in performing arts.
Noted theatre personality Ram Gopal Bajaj, dancer and historian Sunil
Kothari, Carnatic music exponent R Vedavalli and famous Sitar player
Arvind Parikh were conferred Sangeet Natak Akademi's fellowships (Akademi Ratna) by
President Ram Nath Kovind on Jan 2018.

63rd Filmfare Awards


The Filmfare Awards aka Clares are presented annually by
The Times Group to honour both artistic and technical
excellence of professionals in the Hindi language film industry
of India. The Filmfare ceremony is one of the oldest film
events in India. The awards were first introduced in 1954, the
same year as the National Film Awards.
63rd Filmfare Awards ceremony, presented by the Filmfare Magazine, honored the best Hindi
language Indian films of 2017. The ceremony was held on 20 January 2018 and hosted by Shah
Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.

60th Grammy Awards 2018


A Grammy Award (stylized as GRAMMY, originally called

Gallantry Award 2018


Gallantry Awards are given for dignity, exceptional courage and valor after independence
Indian Government Introduced Three Awards namely Param Vir Chakra, the Maha Vir Chakra
and the Vir Chakra on 26th January 1950. Each Republic Day Indian President Give this medal to
those who are eligible for these awards.

President of India total served 390 awards on the occasion of Republic Day the awards include
one Ashok Chakra, one Kirti Chakra, 14 Shaurya Chakras and 28 Param Vishisht Seva Medals.

The Ashok Chakra:


The Ashok Chakra, posthumously awarded to Garud commando Jyoti Prakash
Nurala of Indian Air Force. This is the greatest military honor given at the time
of peace. Nirala had killed 03 terrorists alone in an encounter with the
terrorists in November 2017 in the Haigen area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kirti Chakra:
Major Vijayant Bisht was announced to give Honor of the Kirti Chakra. Major
Vijayant Bisht got information about the infiltration of militants in Uri district
of Jammu and Kashmir on June 06, 2017, after which they reached to
confrontation with them with his team. Major Bisht saved the lives of a rifle
man injured by a bullet and shot a terrorist during a long encounter. Major
Bisht is being awarded the Kirti Chakra for his adventures.
Shaurya Chakra:
Armed force a total of nine warriors of the Army were honored with Shaurya Chakra. The
names of the heroes like Major Akhil Raj RV, Capt Rohit Shukla, Captain Abhinav Shukla, Capt
Pradip Sharya Arya, Havaldar Mubarik Ali, Havildar Rabindra Thapa, Nayak Narendra Singh,
Lance Naik Badher Hussain and Paratrooper Manchu.
Air Force Corporal Devendra Mehta, Air Force Medal Wing Commander Anshul Saxena,
Squadron Leader Rajiv Chauhan and Squadron Leader Kamal Sharma were named.
In Paramilitary Force two CRPF cobra commandos Vikas Jakhar and Riaz Alam Ansari were
announced to be awarded with Shaurya Chakra.

I-League Awards 2017
The I-League, officially known as the Hero I-League due to
sponsorship reasons, is an Indian professional league for men's
association football clubs. Between 1996 and 2007, the league was
known as National Football League. At the top of the Indian football
league system, it is one of the two premier football leagues in the
country, the other being the Indian Super League. Contested by 10
clubs (currently), it operates on a system of promotion and
relegation with the I-League 2nd Division as well as a system of

7th Annual Asian Awards


The Asian Awards is an annual award ceremony for the global
Asian community which takes place in the United Kingdom, with
14 categories that include business, philanthropy,
entertainment, culture and sport. Nominees are selected by an
independent judging panel co-chaired by Baroness Verma and
Nat Wei, Baron Wei. In 2010 and 2011, the awards were only
open to those born in or with direct family origin from India, Sri
Lanka, Pakistan, or Bangladesh. From 2013, they were expanded to include all people of both
