The ideal community for emerging nonprofit leaders.

“The Power of Community”

Dear Friend:

I am writing to invite you and/or your company to sponsor the launch of Nonprofit Utopia, LLC, an online
community of emerging nonprofit leaders. We have created a safe environment in which our members can
innovate, speak candidly about the issues and concerns they face on a daily basis, and share ideas and
resources. The curated experience is member-driven, and will provide unmatched opportunities to bond around
special interests and geography. Our members will be able to establish deeper relationships and experience a
higher level of engagement than they would be able to find on other social media. Most importantly, there will
be opportunities for our members to share lessons learned with their peers and industry experts, who will be
invited to facilitate live in-person and virtual events from time to time.

Supporting the launch of Nonprofit Utopia is consistent with your commitment to strengthening the nonprofit
sector while building brand awareness in a cost-effective manner. With a theme of “The Power of
Community”, Nonprofit Utopia will kick off on June 26, 2018, from Blue 1647 Technology Innovation Center,
from 6:30 pm. until 8:30 pm. Blue 1647 Technology Center is located at 2150 South Canalport in Chicago.

Our featured speaker will be Gina Bianchini, the Founder and CEO of Mighty Networks, the platform on
which Nonprofit Utopia will run. Gina is an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Andreesen Horowitz venture
firm. Prior to that, Gina was the Co-Founder and CEO of Ning, another social media platform. Gina will join
us virtually from Palo Alto, California. Other speakers include Shelby Parchman, Managing Partner of Urban
Strategies, LLC, and Emile Cambry, Founder and CEO of Blue 1647 Technology Innovation Center. Our
Master of Ceremonies will be Theo Leonard, Jr., an agent with Country Financial.

The audience will engage in interactive activities that will build camaraderie and provide further input into
member engagement and professional development offerings. The evening will culminate with a live
demonstration of the Nonprofit Utopia community website and an email invitation to 25,000 nonprofit leaders
around the United States. The launch is also being marketed in other countries through social media. We
expect 100 people to join us in person, and the event will be streamed live on Facebook Live.

I have attached a sponsorship packet for your further information. It is my sincerest hope that you will be able
to invest in this work and attend the launch. I look forward to hearing from you soon. If you have any
questions, feel free to call me at 773-571-3886, or email me at valeriefleonard@nonprofitutopia.com.

Sincerely,

Nonprofit Utopia
Nonprofit leaders often struggle with the fact that they are so busy working to fulfill their
organizations' mission that they have very limited time to get out of the office and talk shop with
other professionals that are having similar experiences and challenges. We have created a safe
environment in which our members can innovate, speak candidly about the issues and concerns
they face on a daily basis, and share ideas and resources. As a member of the Nonprofit Utopia
community, you can

 Start your own conversations. You can ask provocative questions, share your expertise of
local issues impacting nonprofits and participate in discussions started by others. You
can also share content, including announcements, special events, job postings, sample
documents, photographs, podcasts, videos and links to external articles and resources.
You don't need approval from the host before your start posting.
 Learn from your peers.
 Participate in live virtual and in-person learning events.
 Engage in live chats in the member chat room.
 Create your own polls to keep your fingers on the pulse of hot nonprofit issues that you
care about.
 Solidify your position as a nonprofit thought leader by writing your own blog-style posts.
 Engage in virtual community organizing by geography, special interests, product or
service launch, special event planning, etc.
 Network with peers who share the same interests and job titles, or live in the same city.
 Personalize your experience by following the topics that interest you.
 Invite other like-minded professionals to join the network.
 Join the Ambassador Program and be recognized for your level of engagement in the
Nonprofit Utopia community.
