INHALATION: Due to relatively low volatility, inhalation exposure is not anticipated under normal conditions and use,
Inhalation of vapors or fumes produced at elevated temperatures, or mists, may cause ittation of the nose and throat, and
possibly chemical pneumonitis,
INGESTION: Relatively non-toxic. Ingestion may result in a laxative effect. Ingestion of substantial quantities may cause
lithium toxicity
CHRONIC: Prolonged or repeated contact may cause dermatitis or defatting of skin, or chemical pneumonitis in some
individuals.
CARCINOGENICITY: IARC: No NTP: No (OSHA: No
This product contains a petroleum-based grease. ACGIH has proposed lowering the TLV for mineral oll mists to 0.2
mgm” inhalable fraction, highly refined Ad and adding a "suspect carcinogen’ designation
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: Inhalation may aggravate pre-existing respiratory conditions. Skin
contact may aggravate pre-existing skin conditions in sensitive individuals
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS: May cause skin and eye irritation. Symptoms of pneumonitis include difficulty breathing,
coughing, and a low-grade fever.
‘TARGET ORGANS: None known.
= ‘4. FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with lukewarm water for 16 minutes. Ifirritation persists, get medical attention.
SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical

lithium compounds, and other oxidation products. No unusual fire hazards.
FIRE FIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS: Firefighters should wear a NIOSH-approved, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
‘operated in the positive pressure mode and full tumout gear or bunker gear.
6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES |
Isolate area of spill and scoop up spilled material. Avoid walking through spilled material. Prevent spils from reaching
waterways, Wear gloves and other protective equipment as necessary (See Section 8). Scoop or wipe up spilled material
and place in clean container for later disposal. Thoroughly remove residue to prevent slipping. Wear appropriate protective
equipment (ie. rubber gloves, apron, etc.) as necessary to avoid contact. (See Section 8.)
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
‘Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources and incompatible materials. Keep away from heat,
‘sparks, flames, and strong oxidizers when handling, Avoid skin and eye contact. Promptly change contaminated clothing and
discard items that cannot be adequately cleaned (ie, leather shoes). Wash thoroughly after handling and before meals and
breaks. Empty containers may contain combustible product residue. Use appropriate precautions. Storage Conditions — store
in.cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep containers closed.
Sata @. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: None required under normal working conditions. If ventilation is insufficient to control air
contaminants, select NIOSH approved respiratory protection according to the magnitude of exposure, Select and maintain
respirators in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 (In Europe - Standard EN 149). (See MSDS Section 2 for exposure
limits)
SKIN PROTECTION: Wear rubber gloves, apron, and other clothing as necessary to prevent skin contact
EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses or goggles as necessary to prevent eye contact.
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: General ventiation is acceptable for ordinary handling. Local exhaust may be needed to
control air contaminants when product is heated or misting may occur.
