Welcomes New Board Member

Middlesex Community College President James Mabry Joins NACCE Board.

Springfield, MA, April 19, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The National Association for Community College
Entrepreneurship (NACCE), the nation's leading organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship
through community colleges, has named James Mabry, Ph.D., president of Middlesex Community
College (MCC) in Bedford, Massachusetts, to its board of directors.

Mabry has been president of MCC since 2014. He led the college through a period of innovation that
includes the development of transformational educational opportunities for the more than 9,000 students
who attend the college. “President Mabry is a most welcome addition to our vibrant and diverse board,”
said NACCE Chair Susan May, Ed.D., president of Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton,
Wisconsin. “We are fortunate to have such a talented and diligent professional join NACCE's leadership
team.”

“Entrepreneurship is a key ingredient for individual and organizational success in today's world,” said
Mabry. “Encouraging entrepreneurship and leading entrepreneurial teams is a way to stay nimble and
quickly meet the changing needs of our students, our communities, and our business partners.”

Mabry holds a Ph.D. in U.S. History from Columbia University and Master of Science degree from the
London School of Economics. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Columbia
University's School of General Studies and his associate degree from the University of Maryland
Overseas Division.

Mabry currently serves on the board of Project Learn, a public/private partnership working to increase
educational attainment in Lowell, MA. He also serves as a director for the Lowell Plan, a
business-sponsored nonprofit that promotes economic development; is a director for the Lowell
Development and Financial Corporation, which supports economic revitalization and funds
entrepreneurial startups; serves as a member of the Executive Council and as the Chair of the Legislative
Committee for the MA Council of Community College Presidents; serves as treasurer for the
Massachusetts Community College Trustee Association; serves on an advisory board for the United Teen
Equality Center (UTECH); and is a corporator for Lowell General Hospital.

entrepreneurship in their communities and on their campuses. NACCE has two main goals: to empower
the college to approach the business of running a community college with an entrepreneurial mindset; and
