About:
LAR Studio’s journey launched when artist/designer Laris Alara Kilimci returned
to her homeland Istanbul, Turkey and wanted to create a escapist world filled
with optimism and quirk. Her practice and passion for print transformed into
abstract narratives that led to the formation of LAR Studio’s products; scarves,
foulards, bandanas, pareos and printed textiles that are more than everyday life
objects but a manifestation of freespirit, joy and boldness in a art meets daily life
approach.

The products are hand drawn by Laris Alara Kilimci,

later to be transferred to print in boutique amounts at a notorious textile print
studio locally in Turkey. To finish up they are to be hand hemmed by woman
workers that work in 100% ethical conditions.

LAR Studio’s new collection ‘Blobs’ takes you to a
magical utopia full of incognito shapes that play with
the conscious. Inspired by the rhythm and the magical
power of nature and it’s mysterious ways, the collection
is formed of a large collection of Print Accessories hand
drawn by artist/designer Laris like painting canvases.
