1. Introduction

OPENDOCMAN is an open source coded online document management system written in PHP designed to
comply with ISO management system’s document control requirements. This system enables users to

2.1 Open your web browser and go to the link http://192.168.0.140/opendocman/ . Then, the logging screen will
appear as shown below and enter your username and password to log into the system.

2.2 Once logged, the home screen will appear where the user can find all the latest documents listed according
to their reference, department, author etc.

2.3 Adding documents for approval

1. Go to Add Document

2. Browse and select the file*

3. Select the relevant file category

4. Enter the revision details here

5. Submit for the approval

*Note: In order to approve the document, it should be in pdf format and document name
has to be kept in below format.

Doc ref - Rev – [document name]

Ex: AE-AT-12-BT Rev 1 – [Responsibility & Authority – Batten]

2.4 Document Search

2.4.1. Filtering method

Using the filters, you can search documents related to your area. Departments can be sorted by
selecting the filter “Author”.

2.4.2 Search method

The program also have a search entry facility that brings you the best matches to your search.

3. Support

3.1 All the system related issues need to be informed to compliance manager. He will then
communicate with IT department to sort the issue at the earliest possible.

4. Your logging details shall be confidential and cannot be shared with other departments.

5. System backup will be taken by MIS department daily basis
