Case Study # 1 – 21 y/o college volleyball player

Week 1 to 3

 Kneeling on stable surface and performing diagonal patterns 15sh x 3 sets progress to
unstable surface by 2nd week
 Side Shuffles and Freeze 8 reps x 3 sets
 Box Jumps 10 reps x 3 sets (begin with small box 2 ft, and progress each week)
 Upper extremity B UE Step Up 8 reps x 2 sets
 Deep Squat and hold on end range 10 reps x 3 sets

Week 4 to 5

 Partial squats on unstable surface 8 reps x 3 sets


 Band Walking Forward, Backward and B Sides 1x set each direction 10m
 Jump and Freeze c U/L stance 5 reps x 4 sets
 Push-up on unstable surface, begin with foam roller progress to thera-ball 8 reps x 3
sets
 Bounding Across 10m area 4 sets

Week 6-8

 Balance on BOSU while catching and tossing Ball 30sh x 3 sets


 Ball “Walk Outs” on hands 6 reps x 4 sets
 Unilateral Wall slides and hold in midrange 30sh x 2 sets
 Depth Jumps, planting, jumping and reaching 5 reps x 5 sets
 Side to side jumps (floor box floor) 8 reps x 3 sets
