DECISION
On the supplement to the operation license of
Malayan Banking Berliad - Ha Noi Branch

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam 2010

Pursuant to the Law on Credit Institutions in 2010;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 156/2013/ND-CP dated 11/11/2013 of the Government of the
Republic of Vietnam regulating the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the State
Bank of Vietnam;
Pursuant to the State Bank Governor's Circular No. 03/2007/TT-NHNN dated 05 June 2007
guiding the implementation of a number of articles of Decree No. 22/2006/ND-CP dated 28 February
2006 on the organization and operation of branches of foreign banks, joint-venture banks, banks with
100% foreign owned capital, representative offices of foreign credit institutions in Vietnam
Pursuant to Circular No. 21/2014/TT-NHNN dated 14th August 2014 of the Governor of the State
Bank on the issuance for license and the organization and operation of foreign bank branches, joint
venture banks, 100% foreign owned banks, representative offices of foreign credit institutions, other
foreign organizations with banking activities in Vietnam.
Pursuant to the State Bank Governor's Circular No. 40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15,
2011, regulating on licensing and organizations, operations of commercial banks, foreign bank branches,
representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign organizations with banking
operations in Vietnam.
Upon the request of the General Director of Malayan Banking Berhad - Hanoi Branch according
to the document dated June 17, 2014 and other attached documents
At the proposal of the Chief inspector, banking supervisor,
DECIDE:
Article 1. To approve the supplement to the content of "Participating in bidding, purchase and
sale of treasury bills, negotiable instruments, Government bonds, State bank bills and other valuable
papers on the monetary market "into the operation contents stated in Article III of the Establishment and
Operation License No. 22/NH-GP dated 15 August 1995 issued by the Governor of Vietnam State Bank to
the Malayan Banking Berhad - Hanoi Branch.
Article 2. The Malayan Banking Berhad - Hanoi Branch shall have the following responsibilities:
 - To implement the supplemented operation contents in accordance with current provisions of law
and the guidance of the State Bank;
- To register with the competent State agencies and announce the supplementedcontents on the
mass media according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 29 of the Law on Credit Institutions.
Article 3. The Decision shall take effect from the signing date and form an integral part of the
Operation license for the foreign bank branches No. 22/NH-GP dated 15/8/1995 issued by the Governor
of the State Bank to the Malayan Banking Berhad - Hai Noi Branch
Article 4. The Chief of Office, the Chief inspector and Banking supervisor, the Heads of
subordinate units of the State Bank, Director of the State Bank Branch in Hanoi City and General
Director of Malayan Banking Berhad - Hanoi Branch shall be responsible for the implementing this
Decision.
