Project Summary:

From the insight into the need to involve young people in the processes of structured dialogue
and lack of information in the areas of civil society participation and non-formal education
mentioned in the European Youth Strategy by 2018 under points 3 and 4, members of the World
Youth Alliance Austria - Jugend Verein and members of the partner organizations have designed
the European Youth for EU Youth strategy project.

50 young people will gather in main project activity:


-International 3-day conference, that will be held in Vienna for 50 participants from Austria,
Belgium, Croatia, Lebanon and Spain, where young people will meet decision makers and work
on the policy paper that will be support for the working groups within the 6th Cycle of Structured
Dialogue in Europe. This 3-day conference will happen from 25-27th of May, 2018.

The objectives of the project are:


-Introduce 50 young people to the Structured Dialogue and decision-making processes for
youth on EU and national level
-To form the policy paper with decision makers on the topic of Recommendation of EU youth
for future EU Youth strategy which will be disseminated to the working groups on EU level,
youth in national councils, members of the EU Youth Forum and EU decision makers.
-Ensure that voice of youth migrants and refugees is heard in the Recommendation of EU
youth for future EU Youth strategy and by the EU decision makers
-Empower 50 youth to become youth leaders in their national surroundings and get involved
in political processes for youth in their countries.
