Community-Led Health Center Serves Medically Underserved Area of

Greenville, SC, May 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Unity Health on Main, a community led health center that
serves the Medically Underserved Area (MUA) of Greenville County (SC), is excited to announce it is
open for business and accepting new patients at 505 N Main Street Suite C in Greenville, SC. A grand
opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place May 24, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with
an address to the crowd happening at 5:45 p.m.

Unity Health on Main is a 501(c)(3) that formed in direct response to a 2016 community needs
assessment revealing over 70 thousand Greenville County residents lack access to affordable healthcare.

“Each year thousands of children and their families go without healthcare because it's too expensive or
they don't have the monthly income available to pay for office visits or services,” says Norma Jean
Huerta, Executive Director of Unity Health on Main. “Nobody should ever have to choose between
putting food on the table or seeing a doctor. That's why Unity Health on Main exists, to provide care to
everyone regardless of their ability to pay.”

Located next to the former baby Bi-lo, strategically situated at the corner of W. Park Ave and N. Main
Street and conveniently located on two major bus routes, Unity Health on Main strives to reduce major
barriers to seeking care from a family doctor in Greenville SC.

“We want to make it as simple as possible for the community to access quality healthcare services and
that includes not only affordability but accessibility,” says Darion Morgan, Chairman of the Board.
“We're breaking down barriers of cost, transportation and language to help families lead healthy, positive
lives.”

Since opening its doors in Summer 2017 with pediatrics in Greenville, the local response has been
overwhelming and Unity Health has begun expanding its practice to include complete health care services
for the entire family.
