Dear Honorable Judge,

In re: Florencio Garcia

My name is Ashley Koehler. Florencio Garcia is my fiancé. Florencio and I met in

October of 2010. Since meeting one another and falling in love, we have been each
other’s rock and support in everything that we do. I respect and love him, and I look
forward to the day Florencio can come home so we can get married and begin our life
with one other.

I understand Florencio is in trouble for injury to a spouse. Florencio and I have

discussed the seriousness of the matter and he understands his actions were wrong. We
have discussed attending therapy together once he comes home, and possibly enrolling
him in anger management. He has agreed to do what he needs to do to make our
relationship work, and I have agreed to do the same.

Florencio is a good man with a big heart, who at the time of the incident, was having a
rough day. He is loving and caring and proves that to me by going out of his way to
provide for my son and I when he is home.

Florencio regrets what he has done to me, and only wants to move forward from this
situation. He has learned from his mistake and wants nothing more than to come home
so we can be a family once again. No benefits will come of sending Florencio to prison. A
prison sentence will be detrimental to the both of us, as well as to my son. I ask the
judge for leniency during sentencing so that we as a family can move past this and
continue forward.

I would like to thank the court and the judge for its time and consideration.
