1. INTRODUCTION
1-1 Introduction
The features of DL-101C/102C are as follows.

1) The automatic measurement can be done with a high degree of accuracy. There will be little error by the
operator in measurement. (Electronic reading by special pattern staff)

2) The measurement data and others can be recorded.

Note: The production of the CCD unit, which has been used for measuring distance and reading the
relative height so far, is discontinued on account of its maker's affairs. This repair manual is
made as a revised edition in which the parts related to the above-mentioned discontinuation are
changed to new ones. Please make a good use of this manual.
The new parts will be applied on and after the following S/N.
DL-101C: UG0051 ~
DL-102C: UH0051 ~

Some of the optional components with different specifications are not mentioned in this manual.
Please understand it.

3. PRINCIPLE
3-1 Principle
The image of the bar cord pattern of the staff used exclusively for DL in front of the object is formed on the
CCD in the position common to the reticle through the auto. level optical system, and is converted to an elec-
tric signal.
Soft processing is applied to the electric signal to read the staff and measure the distance to the staff.
