Write a brief summary of your experiences teaching this lesson, addressing the following
questions:

 What went well? What did not go well? (Cite specific examples) Day 2 of this
lesson went well the students were task with research. Students review their plans
and update drawings to reflect all parts of their assigned cell. Teacher asks if they need
more time: Give me a thumb up if you are ready. He notes some students need
additional time.

 How well were the lesson’s student performance objectives attained? .

Instructed to discuss what is included in their models. I observe students
discussing and comparing drawings. Students begin to discuss what materials
they will use for each part of their cells. Teacher provides differentiation by
explaining in detail with various students who do not have well-developed plans.
Some students exchange materials as they make their plans. Teacher asks if they
need more time: Give me a thumb up if you are ready. He notes some students
need additional time

 Did classroom activity center on science understanding, inquiry, and sense-

making by all students? Learners defined words and placed them in the
glossaries of their interactive science notebooks. The students navigating through
the PowerPoint went well. My background helped with the process and
concepts. This helped meet students’ needs and understanding the importance
academic vocabulary. Differentiation is important to any classroom. Therefore, I
was cognizant about the implementation of differentiation of how I taught the
vocabulary. Higher students were asked to work with the gifted teacher and use
the vocabulary words in their daily writing.

 Did your scientific content knowledge enable you to support students’

construction of knowledge and understanding of important scientific concepts
and processes? The students navigating through the PowerPoint went well. My
