COURSE DETAILS
(1) Basic Concepts
Scope of Society, Basic concept of Bio-physical and Social System, Basic components of
environment, Human-environment interaction, Sustainability and carrying capacity,
Environmental degradation, placing a value on the environment (six values), Environmental
ethics, Major environmental issues.Basic understanding of ethics and debates on engineering
ethics.
