MEETING GUIDELINES
1. Meeting will be called to order. Pledge of Allegiance will be recited
immediately followed by prayer.
2. Roll will be called by the clerk and minutes from the previous meeting will
be read. Once the minutes are approved/accepted by council, the clerk will

3. Financial statement will be discussed as needed.
4. The mayor will ask if there is any old business to be discussed,
5. Once old business has been addressed, the mayor will ask if there is any
new business to bring before the council,
6. No discussions are to start before items 1 through 5 have been completed,
7. Any council member wishing to speak or address the council will raise their
hand and be called upon by the mayor. You will have 5 minutes to address.
8. All discussions will be carried out in a civilized manner. Failure to comply
will result in all unruly parties being asked to leave the meeting. No
exceptions,
9. Regular scheduled meetings take place the second Tuesday of each month
at 6:30 pm unless otherwise specified. All deviations to this will be posted
by the town clerk as required by Alabama Municipal law.
“(o) All regular scheduled meetings are open to the residents / property owners
of the Town of Paint Rock. Anyone not residing in the town limits, or
anyone not owning property within the town limits will not be permitted
without prior approval of council.
11. All town business will be conducted before any visitor is recognized or
allowed time to speak on any subject.
2/Members of the media, ie: newspaper, television, radio, etc. will not be
