MUD PIE

Ingredients:
Cake:
1 Cup Sugar
½ Cup Butter, melted
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¼ teaspoon Iodized Salt
2 pcs. Whole Eggs
1/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 Cup chopped Walnuts

Fudge Sauce:
1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped
¼ Cup Butter

Topping:
1 250-grams pack All-Purpose Cream, chilled
2 Tablespoons Confectioners’ Sugar

Procedure:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
2. Grease and line an 8-inch pie plate. Set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix with a wooden spoon the sugar, butter, vanilla, salt, eggs,
flour, cocoa powder, and nuts until well-blended.
4. Pour into pie plate and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
5. When baked, immediately prick holes in pie with a wooden pick or toothpick.
6. Prepare Fudge Sauce: Melt together chocolate and butter in a double boiler for
2 minutes.
7. Set aside about ¼ Cup fudge sauce and spread the rest on top of the pie. Chill.
8. Prepare Topping: In a chilled mixer bowl, beat all-purpose cream until frothy.
Add confectioners’ sugar. Continue beating 1 minute longer until stiff.
9. Spread on top of fudge sauce.
10. With a spoon drizzle reserved chocolate over cream to make a web pattern. Chill.
11. Serves: 8 – 10.
