VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

 Competition Venue

Queen’s Row East Covered Court, Queen’s Row East Area S, Bacoor City, Cavite (at the back of Queensrow East Barangay Hall)

 Registration

2.1 Registration Period is from June 1 until June 16, 2018

 Competition Schedule

3.1 Game will start at exactly 8am.

 Teams and Line-up

4.1. Each team is allowed a maximum of 12 players.

4.2. A Libero may be designated by the team for a particular match (inform referees who your libero will be before the match begins).
4.3. Final team line-ups (hard copy, complete pictures and information) must be submitted during the Captain’s Meeting.

 Eligibility

Anyone may participate provided the following are observed:

5.1.1. Participants of the recent National Open
5.1.2. Current and former members of the National Team (Mens & Junior, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, and Philippine
Navy are refrained from participating. Guest players and training pool members of the mentioned teams are not qualified
to play in the tournament.

5.2. Trippers Cup 2018 aims to promote fair competition among its participants. It is for this reason that team lineups will be cross-
checked. Any player in the submitted lineup found to be a member of any of the aforementioned above will be disqualified.

 Game Default

6. 1 All games are 1 match only

6. 2 Teams will be allowed a maximum of 20 minutes before a default is declared. On the 21st minute, the officials will formally begin
the match by asking the opponent team to serve.
6. 3 To prevent defaults, all teams must be there at exactly 8am. Rule of succession is being applied

 Team Responsibilities

7.1. The organizer will be in touch with team representatives only. Kindly see to it that updates and other concerns regarding the
tournament are properly disseminated to team members.

7.2. Referees’ decisions are final. In the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, please observe proper playing decorum.

7.3. The organizer has the right to sanction/disqualify a player or team who does not conform to tournament rules.
7.4. Team must provide their own uniform

 Scoring

8.1. Single match only (1 to 25)

8.2. 2 Bracket
8.3. Maximum score is 30, inclusive all deuces.

 Ranking

9.1 Ranking shall be based on the number of points won as follows:

Won Game = 2
Lost Game = 1
Forfeit / Default = 0
The team with the most number of points ranks highest.

9.2 In case of a tie:

9.2.1 Between two (2) teams - the "winner-over-the-other" rule shall apply.
9.2.2 Among three or more teams - the PAVA "quotient system" shall apply.
9.2.3 For computation purposes, only matches played by teams involved in that particular round will be considered.

9.3 The top 2 teams of both bracket will advance to semi-finals. Rank 1 will face rank 2 of the other bracket. Winner will proceed to
championship round

 Tournament Fee

A Registration fee of One Thousand Pesos (Php1,000.00) per team is required to cater tournament needs. This is due no l ater
than June 16, 2018. Failure to settle the tournament fee authorizes the tournament director to open the concerned team’s slot
to other teams. No team will be allowed to play unless the tournament fee is settled.

 Captain’s Meeting & Eligibility Meeting

Team captains or any representative from each team MUST be present in the captain’s meeting. All questions and concerns will
be entertained here.

Captain’s Meeting: Date, time & venue TBA

 Preliminary schedule and game format will be released

 Teams to draw lots to determine their schedule.
