Writing task 2 : “ The world natural resources are being consumed at ever-increasing
rate. What are the dangers of this situation ? What should we do ?”

The arlarming / inexorable growth of consumption of natural resources has been a major
topic of concern. While this trend / development bring about negative effect / devasting
consequences / far-reaching repercussion, several solution can be adopted alleviate /
ameriolate these potential risk.

The danger of over-exploitation of natural resources are many/ manifold/ definite. The
most concerning among the escalating level of pollution/ environmental pollution. The
increase in private vehicle ownership couple with/ accompanied by a rise in fossil fuel
consumption has driven air pollution to dangerous threshold/ level. As a result, public
health is severly worsened/ detoriotated which is reflected in the fact that more people
today have respiratory disease. Another consequence is that natural resources will be
deplected/ are on the way of ( are nearing ) deplection. Energy scarcity will possibly/
conceivably lead to a war among resources and halt production ( of goods ), which can
threaten people’s lives. In order to alleviate / ameriolate/ relieve the described situation,
governments and individuals must join hand to carry out some needed steps. On the
governmental level, subsidy should be given to encourage/ promote the use of public
transport such as buses and trains. This would dramatically reduce emission and improve
atmosphere. Futhermore, authorities could dedicate more funding to researches into
renewable energy sources to meet/ accommodate the growing energy demand. On the
personal level, people must practice energy saving on the daily basic. This involves simple
habits/ routines such as turning off electric devices when not used/ indle and avoiding the
use of automobiles/ vehicles for short distances(trips/journeys)/ daily commute.

In conclusion, it is of vital importance that the suggested approaches to rising energy

consumption be implemented to eliminated future risks/threats.

Wrting task 2 : Advantages and Disadvantage s of Mobile devices

In the light of the proliferation of mobile communication tools, some people hold the belief
that these technology bring about more disadvantages than advantages. While there exist
some potential with from their use, I would argue that the rapid progress of communication
technologies.

On the one hand, over-reliance on modern communication devices can have some negative
impact on society. To begin with, by allowing a person to make contact with another
instantaneously, these devices prevent people( them ) from in-person interaction. For
example, instead of social gathering in real life, people often engage in virtual ones which
are facilitated by extensive online networks such as facebook, and google hangout. In
addition, excessive use mobile devices can trigger addition overtime. For instance, since the
release of the common of mobile game Pokemon Go, there have been numerous report of
traffics accident resulting from careless driver who are too focus on the game, while
handling their vehicles.

On the other hand ( However ), I would argue that the aforementioned harms are eclipsed
by the considerable benefits that modern communication devices bring about. The
introduction of devices like laptops, mobile phone couple with widespread access to the
internet has enhanced productivity. People are eschewing writing letters and travelling for
meetings in favor of more cost-efficent and time-saving alternative like emails and live
conference call to conduct business ( work ). As a result, significant savings are made by
eliminating travel and delivery.

In conclusion, I think that the positive aspect advances in mobile technology out weight the
negative ones.
