The Steel Plant No. 3
STEELWORKS
The No. 3 Plant consists of three
steelworks: the open-hearth steel plant
for plain steelmaking, equipped with 8
furnaces, 4OO to capacity each, provi-
ded with oxygen blasting and heat reco-
very installations and two electric steel-
works for alloy and high-alloy steelma-
king equipped with two electric arc fur-
naces of 20 to capacity, two furnaces of
60 to capacity (steelworks - O,E l) and
two electric arc furnaces of i00 to ca-
pacity (steelworks O.E 2). The electric
steelworks are provided with steel treat-
ment installations of VAD-VOD type. The
