EXPERIENCE IN VISITING MRT CORP

My name is Nur Liyana binti Fazli. I would like to share my experience and what I feel
throughout the trip to MRT CORP. On the 24th November 2017, our class D1BM2324B had
visited MRT CORP Jalan Ipoh in Kuala Lumpur. The reason why we went there are to fulfil
our subject requirement for Networking and Telecomunication (ASM551). We arrived at the
MRT CORP around 2.30 pm. We arrived 30 minutes early at the MRT information center, so
our lecturers gave us permission to go stroll around the area to buy food or anything that we
want. After that, at 3.00 pm we gather in the MRT CORP information center to hear briefing
regarding MRT. We had been welcomed by the person in charge there. The person in charge
there work in public relation department. They are very friendly and nice person. Next, From
what I saw the state of the MRT information center is very organized and modern. In the MRT
information center there are TV screen that displays video and information regarding MRT.

For me the first impression is very good due to the service provided and the facilities
are in very good condition. So, the speaker who gave us a talk regarding MRT is the person
who works with MMC GAMUDA. During the talk session we were introduced what actually
MRT are. We were given the information what benefits of the MRT, how the process MRT is
being made. Other than that, the speaker also introduced to all of us the maps for MRT routes
and explain to us why the MRT were built there. The speaker showed us videos of the users
feedback of the MRT. He also stressed that MRT CORP are very concerned about the
convenience of the MRT users and they will always willing to receive any complaints regarding
MRT. After the talk we were given the opportunity to asked questions. Most questions asked
are questions about telecommunications. Most question cannot be answered because the
speaker are the employee who work in managing the construction of the MRT project and they
lack information on telecommunications in organizations. But they willing to help us to answer
our question and they also give us their email if there any inquiries after the session and they
will do our best to ask our questions to headquarters. We were given some foods such as fried
noodles and cakes. We also got goodies bag that contains pamphlet about MRT and
notebook. Before we leave, we need to answer the survey questions regarding how good the
services provided and information provided from MRT information center in Jalan Ipoh.

Overall, from what I expect supposedly, when we went there we can get details
information regarding how they manage the networking and telecommunication system in their
company, but mostly the talk are more to how the MRT project management. However it is
quite okay since I got to know how complicated the MRT CORP in managing the MRT project
so that I can share the information with other people. Thank you.
