Replacement Program @ Hyderabad

Dear Sir,

EESL has designed the National Motor Replacement Program (NMRP) which will be
launched by the Power Ministry very soon. Under this program, EESL would work with
industries to replace all inefficient motors with energy efficient IE3 motors resulting in
substantial benefits to the industry and to the nation.

NMRP aims to create an infrastructure to stimulate supply for High Efficient Motors
(HEMs) adhering to IE-3 standard through awareness creation, capacity building of
manufacturers & end users and developing success cases for convincing decision makers.

As part of NMRP, EESL and Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), a not-for-
profit organization, conducted pilot demonstration of 30 motors in Jamnagar (Foundry),
Surat (Textile) and Ahmedabad (Chemical) clusters to arrive at actual energy savings.
Very encouraging results have been obtained in these pilots.

Taking the initiative forward, EESL and Institute for Sustainable Communities are
organizing a Technical Meet in association with Siri Exergy & Carbon Advisory
Services, Hyderabad on ‘National Motor Replacement Program’ in Hyderabad on
20th July 2018 at Hotel Katriya, Rajbhavan Road, Hyderabad from 10.00 hrs to 13:45
hrs followed by Lunch. The detailed agenda of the workshop is enclosed with invitation
letter.
