2. Warm up: in on under song STANDING
3. On CUSHIONS - Revise prepositions and school objects - Give commands: make sure to have school objects
and a schoolbag in the middle of the circle and say: put the rubber in the pencil case; put the pencil on the
book….etc + ss give each other instructions
4. Prepositions song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F0NYBBKczM - IN ON UNDER,drill listen x 1 do
actions where is it, in, on, under x2, sing and actions x3 STANDING
5. Intro numbers 1-10, play what’s missing CHAIRS

6. 2 magic hats, one with number fcds and the other with school objects. Ss draw one FCD from each hat and
need to say how many bags, rubbers they have.

8. Teach classroom language – stand up, sit down, close the book, open the book, pick up, take, show me,
touch, put. While naming them, mime each one at a time and ask the children to mime with you. After you
make sure they have understood them, play Simon says but in our case “ Cookie says” or “Ducky says”,
depending on the puppet you brought to class on the first day of school. Demonstrate for a couple of times
and then ask the children to become the teacher and give commands.

9. Open the books on p. 11. Listen and colour. CHAIRS (5 min)
10. Learn a new song (p. 12). Listen to the song and WATCH the DVD. Then listen again, pause and repeat. At
third listening, sing along. CHAIRS + STAND with a rubber a pencil and a pencilcase
11. WB pg 9 listen CHAIRS (8 min)
12. HW – handout and cut out the minifcds at the end of their WB; they should cut out all of them and put them
in CDs envelopes, on topics.

7. Tack numbers and school objects around the room, 2 teams, 2 ss at a time, call out a number and a school
object. How many rubbers have you got, I’ve got 3 rubbers STANDING 2 AT A TIME
8. SB Listen and sing p 12 – watch on the IWB the song and play the karaoke version too. + IWB games

isn’t…
