INTRODUCTION
We are the Land Title Registry (LTR) under the Ministry of Lands,
Forestry & Mines of the Republic of Ghana.
VISION
To develop an environment in which the issuance of Land Title
Certificates would be friendly, simple and expeditious.
MISSION
To provide an open, cost effective and timely service in the registration
of titles and interests in land that is state-guaranteed to meet the
needs and expectations of the country and its inhabitants.
FUNCTIONS

• Registering Mortgages on land for which certificates have been
issued.
• Conducting arbitration on disputed lands.
WE STRIVE FOR:

• Friendly and courteous Customer Service Officers with their
names boldly displayed, will be on hand to serve you.
• All office doors will be clearly marked to facilitate easy
identification.
• Accurate and reliable information will be provided by staff.
SERVICE TIMEFRAME
• Certificates for first registration, after • Within four (4)
advertisement and receipt of search reports weeks.
• Issue Certificates on transfer of Titles • Within two (2)
weeks
• Conduct search reports on Development • Within two (2)

date of request.
• Conduct searches • Within one (1) week from
the date of submission.

• Submit Statutory Declaration where documents of ownership are
not available.
• In case of loss of Land Title Certificate, applicant should obtain
Police Report, publish loss in dailies, inform us and apply for a
Substituted Certificate.
