Situation:

In this case, the client is looking for a better

chemical treatment control and to prevent
corrosion process. Corrosion inhibitors are
used in cooling systems to modify the
electro-chemical process and control the
corrosion. Besides that, corrosion inhibitor
able to provide an obstructive film at either
the anode (resisting the entry of metal ions
into solution), or the cathode (hindering the
removal of electrons by ions in solution).

The Needs:

 To protect the cooling system from

corrosion, scaling, fouling and
microbiological growth

 To optimize the inhibitor treatment

program to maintain the plant equipment
and prevent from corrosion.

Our Treatment Solution:

 Cooling tower system started with i-

Chem chemical treatment program.

 Corrosion rack with corrosion coupons

such as stainless steel and mild steels,
were installed parallel to the water flow
direction. It is practice inserting 2 types
of coupons together on a rig and allow to
remove the coupons at every 90 days
intervals.

Product Applied:

bmSOLUTION® CL 7359:
It is a combination of zinc compound, phosphate and scale inhibitor for scale and corrosion
control.

i-Chemsperse 310:
It is an outstanding dispersant for iron oxide, hydroxyapatite and calcium carbonate and an
excellent stabilizer for corrosion inhibitors such as phosphate, phosphonates and zinc.

i-Chemsperse 400:
It is the one of the most effective calcium carbonate scale inhibitors for severe service
conditions.

bmSOLUTION® CP 960:
It is a DBNPA based biocides for bacteria control and slime removal in open recirculating
cooling water system, air washer system, close re-circulating chilled water system and
membrane filters.
