Nonetheless, We sustain complainant’s claim for attorney’s fees considering that they

were forced to litigate and incurred expenses to protect their rights and interest. It did

not escape Our notice that complainants herein were not represented by counsel.

Nevertheless, We find that the award of attorney’s fees is still proper in accordance with

the ruling in Exodus International Construction Corporation vs. Biscocho 1 . In the said

case, a party who was constrained to litigate and thus, incur expenses to protect his

rights and interest were awarded attorney’s fees even though he was not assisted by

counsel in most of the stages of the proceedings of the case.
