RISK2VALUE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

avedos risk2value is based on Microsoft-Technology. This document gives an overview of system

requirements.

Hardware  Web-Server:
o minimum 4 GB free disk space
o minimum 8096 MB RAM
 Database-Server:
o approx. 10GB free disk space per Instance (depending on scorecard
data)
o approx. 10GB free disk space per Export Database/Instance
(depending on scorecard data)

The information given here refers to the default settings of the respective applications:
 risk2value Web Access: Port 80 or Port 443 (SSL)
 risk2value Service / risk2value Reporting (internal): Port 8080
 risk2value  SQL Server Reporting Services: Port 80 or 443
 Microsoft Excel  SQL Server Analysis Service: Port 2383 or “OLAP over HTTPs”
(80/443)
 The application components and the database component of risk2value® can be
either installed on a stand-alone server or on separate devices
To work with risk2value the following programs are required:
 Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0+ (We recommend Internet Explorer 10)
 Mozilla Firefox 3.5+ (We recommend latest Mozilla Firefox update)
o JavaScript must be enabled in Internet Explorer and Firefox
 Microsoft Excel 2007/2010/2013 (used for risk2value OLAP Reporting)

MICROSOFT SQL SERVER FEATURE PACK

When IIS and SQL Server run on different hosts, parts of the Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012
Feature Pack have to be installed on the system with the Web Server (IIS) Role in addition to
the other components of the risk2value installation. In these environments the installation is critical
regarding the functionality of risk2value. The Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Feature Pack
components must be installed on the Server with the Web Server (IIS) Role, even if you
are running Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2.

The only situation in terms of installing risk2value in which you do not need to install the SQL Server
Feature Pack components is when you are running IIS and SQL Server on the same (physical or
virtual) host.

Download the following components of the SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack at the provided link and
install them in the same order as listed below.

Generally, 100+ concurrent users deployment will need a multi-server risk2value installation. Specific variables may
require a deployment to have multiple avedos risk2value Servers.
