Many people say that private school bus service operators do not follow proper
safety procedures when dealing with young children and they argue that this may
pose a danger. Write a letter to the Bus Operator Association of Hong Kong to
express your concerns and three recommendations for how private bus services can
be improved.

Dear Sir,
Make it be known that the purpose of my writing today is to officially express my
concern of a situation that private school bus service operators do not follow proper
safety procedures when dealing with young children.The hypervelocity happens
frequently is danger.As a parent, I am extremely worried and annoyed about the
safty of my son and other students.

Accidents caused by overspeed are popular on the newspapers.I always saw school
buses are driving as fast as racing cars on the road.The students in the bus are
frantically swing on their sits and they are looked alarmed.Although slowing down
the speed when the cars are turning around is a general knowledge,I seldom saw the
school bus drivers tried to do that.Maybe the cause is the drivers want to finish their
job immediately and they do not care about the speed.I deemed they have violated
the Traffic Safety Ordinance as they are speeding and disregard the safety of the child
behind them.I took exception to that situation at first,until my son told me his
horrible story yesterday.He told me that he had been felt pain because of the friction
with the seat belt in a crazy driving bus and he had been dizzy.I extremely think that I

need to do something to protect out future―the child.

To solve the problem,I have some recommendations for the your company.

At first,your company should provide training classes and enforce all the school bus
drivers to participate.Our society expects professional conducts in every workers. As
a professional driver,the safety of passengers is the most significant.But obviously ,
some of the drivers in our city lost the responsibility to take care of their passengers.
The effects of this training class are teaching and making sure every drivers put the
safety of passengers first,unless their licenses will be revoked.Then, we can
peacefully give our children to the divers who were finished the class and value the
road safety.
Moreover,each school bus should be installed a speed detector. The detectors can
show the speed of the car to the driver continuously.This gives a warning to the
drivers who lost themselves in the speed and get them back to the safey speed.
The drivers can maintain a reasonable speed which will not exceed the speed limit or
cause accident. All people in the bus know the speed of the bus, can tell the drivers
when the bus is driving too fast. A speed detector is a necessity of speed controlling
and keeping the right speed.

Finally, for the drivers who have no change after taking part in the training classes
and ignore the speed detector, strengthen the penalty will be the finally solution.
For every overspeed buses shooted by the camera of the traffic lights, the divers
must face a severe punishment like permanent suspension. The consequence is not
too heavy, because they are not only carrying themselves, they are carrying the lives
of our future,isn’t it?

‘Safety is more important than speed’ is the aim of your company.I sincerely hope
that you can rectify all the problems I have mentioned and show your purpose with
your action,so that the unacceptable situation would not happen any more.
