Islamiat also involves political, economic and social aspects apart from religious
aspects. You may start reading from Islami Nazria Hayat by Prof. Khursheed Ahmad or
any other good book. Start studying topic-wise. I hope you will not find any
difficulty in comprehending different islamic thoughts. As far as
references(Ayats/Hadiths) are concerned, you may read their english/urdu
translation.
