COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Graduate studies require intensive paper works, therefore, it is expected that each
student shall strive to meet all the required coursework requirements.

This course enables the learners to prepare a research paper that can be presented in a
local or international conference and possibly get it published in a research journal.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Individual SPSS Outputs (20%): From time to time, I will give you assignments where
you will conduct short surveys. These surveys must be processed in SPSS software.
These outputs must be printed and submitted during the assigned sessions.
Chapters 1-3 (10%): Each student shall prepare the first three chapters of a typical
research paper.
Two Seminars (20%): The class shall organize two seminars during the semester. Your
professor in Business Research shall be the resource speaker. It will be the responsibility
of the class to prepare for the program and budgetary requirements for certificates, food,
and other expenses. Likewise, invitations to graduate students (MBA, MPA, MSCJ, and
MAEd) shall be sent to respective programs. They shall serve as our audience for the two
seminars. An approval must be secured from the Graduate School prior to holding such
seminars. Professional fee for the resource speaker is waived.
Individual Research Paper (30%): Your research project is unique because you will
collaborate with your professor in this subject. The goal is to produce a research article
that can be presented in a local or international conference.
Other reminders:
1. Attendance – Your attendance will be checked by affixing your signatures on the class
card. Please do not forget to sign. If you cannot attend the class, you have to inform me
in advance.
3. Syllabus – This syllabus is subject to change. Dates are tentative but we shall strive
to finish all course topics covered, discuss the assigned readings, and accomplish all
requirements within the semester.
