All contributions should be written in English, and should conform to the Uniform
Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (www.icmje.org).
Title page
It should be a separate page and include the manuscript title, author(s), affiliations of each
author, the institution and department where the work was accomplished, first author's brief
introduction, and acknowledgment of any financial support for the research. The name, full
address, Tel/Fax number and Email of the corresponding author should be typed in the lower
left corner of the title page. Titles should be concise and informative. A short running title
(less than 40 letters) should be provided. The authors’ names are listed as follows; initially
first name, then middle name and lastly family name such as Subrat Kumar Acharya.
Abstract
An informative abstract of no more than 350 words should accompany each manuscript.
Abstracts should not be divided into paragraphs, and should not be structured.
Text
It should be written mainly in three sections, entitled INTRODUCTION, MAIN TEXT,
and CONCLUSIONS , followed by necessary figures and/ or tables.
Figures
Submit two complete sets of unmounted glossy, good-contrast prints of photographs (5.0 cm x
7.5 cm). They should be cited in the text and self-explanatory on a separate page with a brief
but complete title below the figure. Pictures should be high quality black and white
photographs and labeled on the back with the name of the first author, the figure number and
an arrow indicating the top side. In clinical photographs, patient’s identity should be suitably
masked; in case this is not possible, patient’s written permission should accompany the
manuscript.
Tables
Three-line tables should be cited in the text, and self-contained, self-explanatory and should
complement but not duplicate the information contained in the text. One horizontal line is
under the title, a second under the column heads, and a third at the end of the table, above
any footnotes. Tables should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and their titles
should be set on the top of their tables with common units for the whole table on the top
right. Vertical and italic lines should be omitted.
Acknowledgments
Brief acknowledgments of persons who have made genuine contributions and who endorse
the data and conclusions are included. Authors are responsible for obtaining written
permission to use any copyrighted text and/ or illustrations.
References
References should be cited fully in the text, tables and legends and identified by superscribed
Arabic numerals in the order in which they first appear in the text. References should be typed
double-spaced on sheets separated from the text and numbered consecutively in the order in
which they appear in the text. Type references double-spaced on sheets separate from the
text. Publications as abstract and letter should be so identified in parenthesis. The
responsibility for accuracy of references lies with the authors. The Journal is in agreement with
the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors. Therefore, the general arrangement,
abbreviations of journal names and punctuations followed are as per the Uniform
Requirements for Manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals (See
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html). Pay particular attention to the style
