OBJECTIVE
I am seeking a full-time position in the energy/oil/water industry where I can utilize my research experience. I am
passionate about water, sustainable energy and the environment; a strong leader and an effective communicator.
Fully authorized to work in the United States.
EDUCATION
Pennsylvania State University, State College PA Expected: May 2019, GPA: 3.95
PhD Environmental Engineering with a focus on reducing the environmental impact of the petroleum engineering.
Research Summary:
o Reclamation of raw materials (fracking sand and clay) from hydraulic fracturing solid waste
o Tailored clay for radium removal and treatment of hydraulic fracturing produced water
o Development of time-saving analytical methods for radioactivity measurement

West Virginia University (WVU), Morgantown WV 2014, GPA: 3.92

BSc, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering; Minor in Economics
EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant Aug 2014 – Present
Pennsylvania State University, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Designed and performed experiments investigating i) reclamation of marketable raw materials from hydraulic
fracturing wastes, and ii) a novel process for radium removal from hydraulic fracturing produced water. In
addition, managed and mentored several undergraduate research projects.
Radiation Safety Officer May 2018 – Present
SALTS Lab, Pennsylvania State University, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Ensured radiation compliance of the research lab with the Environmental Health & Safety. Performed regular
contamination surveys and safety assessments to ensure safe operations involving radioactive materials.
Undergraduate Research Assistant May 2013- August 2013
Pennsylvania State University, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Performed research experiments and provided laboratory assistance on two NSF research projects. One project
designed a treatment to reclaim Anthracite coal from coal waste and the other project designed and tested a low
polluting core for casting and molding in iron foundries.
Residential Assistant August 2011 – May 2014
West Virginia University, Braxton Tower
Facilitated the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to the residence hall and University by
developing a sense of community among residents as residents of a hall and active participants in the residence
life system. I also mentored add tutored engineering students as part of the engineering retention program.
Tutor & Mentor August 2013 – May 2014
West Virginia University, Freshman Engineering Learning Center
I tutored first year engineering students in math, physics, chemistry, and engineering classes.
Office Assistant May 2012- August 2012
West Virginia University, Office of the Dean of Freshman Engineering
Assisted the Dean of Freshman Engineering in developing and organizing new programs for the academic year by
planning, reviewing and implementing the orientation schedule for 924 incoming students. Created assessments
for the Introduction to Engineering course, while serving as communications liaison between the Freshman
Engineering department and the engineering library.
