CONGRESSIONAL BALLOT TEST

Jim Hagedorn posts a substantial 14% lead over Dan Feehan, approaching the
majority mark on his ballot support. Hagedorn receives stronger partisan support
(86% of Republicans) than does Feehan (78% of Democrats), and Hagedorn leads
among Independent voters (41-31%). Hagedorn also posts a lead in each of the
three largest media markets of the district (Mankato: 46-33%, Minneapolis-St.
Paul: 53-25%, Rochester: 48-38%).

GENERIC BALLOT TEST

A Republican has a 5% lead on the generic ballot for Congress, indicating that this
district leans Republican. Jim Hagedorn is currently outperforming the generic
ballot, illustrating the strength of his campaign at this point in the race.

Additionally, a majority of the electorate approves “ of the job that Donald Trump
is doing as President ,” while just 27% have a favorable opinion of Nancy Pelosi.

And, a near-majority of likely voters say they would rather elect “a Republican
who will help Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans pass their agenda”
instead of “a Democrat who will put Nancy Pelosi back as Speaker of the House.

METHODOLOGY: The sample size for the survey is 400 likely voters in Minnesota
Congressional District 1 and the margin of error is +/-4.9%. Responses were
gathered via landline and mobile telephone interviews conducted by live callers at a
professional call center. The survey was conducted August 23 – 26, 2018 by Harper
Polling. The total percentages for responses may not equal 100% due to rounding.
