Performance Task in DIASS

Goal: To propose activities such as goal setting, time management, and development of study habits to
address the issue of students’ failure in academics.

Role: You are a personnel of the Office of Guidance and Counseling.

Audience: Students of your school.

Situation: Your school president has observed that there is an increasing number of student who failed at
least on subject in the quarter. He called his school officials for a meeting. He tasked your department to
develop a guidance program that focuses on assisting the students to perform well in their studies. As the
school counselor, you propose that the program should have activities such as goal setting, time management,
and development of study habits. Since it seeks to help students in their difficulties, you are required to prepare
a PowerPoint presentation to be submitted to your Guidance Head, the Student Affairs Office, and the
President’s Office. The program should be sufficient in content – which includes an introduction, rationale,
activities with objectives and instructions, and recommendations.
