Multiuser operating system:

The multiuser operating system is defined as the operating system which allows multiple
users to use the same computer at the same time as well as at different times also. The
examples of the multiuser operating system are Linux, Unix and Windows 2000 etc.

Social issues in the multiuser operating system:

 In the multiuser operating system, viewing file name of other cannot be


considered the same as wondering into someone’s house without their permission
because this is bound to happen in multiple user system but viewing the content of
other’s is an offence. Commented [a1]:

 The material placed in the common lounge such as physician’s waiting room is
common for each visitors and patients so it is right of everyone to read that
content. But the content of others file is the one’s private document, although
there is no lock in the file or there is no restriction but still it is the ethical
responsibility of the user not to look into other’s file. Commented [a2]:
