PM3 — Ennis, Ireland 24""-26" October 2016 (ATTENDED by 5 delegates from Denmark, 2 from Ireland, 2 from Norway, 3 from Portugal, 2 from Lithuania, and an external evaluator from UK) 0 Welcome and introduction to Ennis and Ireland by the host partners. a Introduction to meeting by project co-coordinators; outline of meeting’s business and objectives; acceptance of minutes of previous meeting. Circulation and discussion of internal evaluation report on last meeting and subsequent project management process, Continued high level of satisfaction reported, including increased time allocated to budgetary and financial discussions. (w) Each partner reported on progress with their own case studies (details in minutes on BASECAMP). It was agreed that all appeared to be progressing in accordance with agreed timelines and guidelines and that each partner's work would take account of a number of very valuable comments made by the other partners. ) tt was noted that although the change of Director at Alytus Youth Centre had not affected their participation overall, there had been some related changes of personnel within the institution and this had caused some modification to the proposed case studies and some delays (now overcome} in forward planning. wi) It was re-emphasized that al the case studies would be focused upon inter-agency working and would make sustained attempts at “before and after” measures of the impact of the case study initiatives. Partners discussed the various ways in which they would carry forward these imperatives. (vid Progress and timelines for all outputs were reviewed in detail throughout the meeting. It was agreed that: publicity leaflets for the training course would have to be ready for 1°" December 2016; case study reports would need to be completed for June 15" 2017 to ensure their inclusion in the course handbook and programme by August 31%; the first pilot delivery of the COURAGE training course will take place in Portugal from October 2" to 6" 2017; the 2 pilot delivery will take place in Ireland from April 16" to 20" 2018. (viii) Plans for the delivery and content of LLT activities were reviewed and discussed, Precise dates would be confirmed in subsequent discussions with the host partners but it was agreed that provisional dates would be: 14" to 18" November, 2016 in Haugesund, Norway; 6" to 10 November 2017 in Albertslund, Denmark, and in Alytus Lithuania on date to be confirmed during April/May 2018. (oo) Dates for the next meeting in Haugesund were discussed, given reservations expressed by some partners that the proposed dates of April 3" to 5" might coincide with school holidays and related work in some countries. It was agreed (and later confirmed) that the meeting might best be held from April 24°" to 26". () A detailed report on current progress with the EUCOURAGE public website was presented and discussed. It was agreed that: some persisting inconsistency in partner information still needed to be resolved; LTT activities would have a folder of their own, distinct from the residential COURAGE training courses; hits on the website would be recorded and analyzed in relation to their dissemination impact; partners would send more articles and links in their own partner languages for inclusion in the “other resources” folder of the website. (xi) (xiv) Partner’s plans for filming their case studies were reviewed and discussed in relation to the guidelines discussed at the previous meeting and formalized subsequently for BASECAMP, It was confirmed that editing and voice overs in English would be co- ordinated by the Norwegian partner as indicated in previous meetings. Advanced drafts of publicity brochures for the first training course delivery were discussed and accepted with minor modifications suggested. More lengthy discussion was needed on whether the benefits of producing and printing hard copies of the course handbook outweighed its very significant costs, especially of time needed to collate and systeratize its contents in a format suitable for printing of sufficiently high quality. The co-ordinators updated partners on current overall project expenditures and budgetary allocations, and agreement was reached on an updated action matrix specifying “who does what and when”, The programme for the meeting included study and cultural visits to Clare County Council (with a welcome and introduction from the Mayor); presentations from Clare's Director of Service and from the General Manager of Sports and Recreation on interagency working and programmes to re-integrate disaffected young people; a tour of Clare Youth Service's Education and Training Centre, including a presentation from the director, a Visit to “The Junction” ~ a community café and resource centre for young people; and discussions during these visits with staff and young clients, on their own and the project's COURAGE initiatives.
