Defendant's Agency Case

CORDEROGOMEZ, ERIK 18700426

NARRATIVE: The undersigned has probable cause to believe the above-named defendant on the 27 of September 2018
at 10:22 at 429 OAK LYNN DRIVE (Zone: 49 ) in Orange County did

On September 27, 2018 at approximately 1022 hours, I received a call from Kathleen Ward in reference to Patricia Ward Leahy (Daughters)
home located at 429 Oak Lynn Drive, Edgewood, FL. 32809. Ms. Ward stated the following:

She knew that her daughter was arrested yesterday and wanted to go by the house and check on everything. When she entered the home
she noticed an awful smell coming from the kitchen/living room area. As she walked into the living room she noticed the family pets (Two Pit
bulls) in a locked cage with no food or water. The dogs were deceased and laying on top of each other. At this time she noticed the rabbit
was still alive with no food or water. Ms. Ward gave the rabbit food and water. She then left the house and called police.

Officer Meade, Officer Schlopy and I arrived at the residents located at 429 Oak Lynn Drive. Ms. Ward gave Officer Meade the code for the
front door lock. Officer Meade, Officer Schlopy and I completed a quick search of the residents for any animals or patriots in the residents .
Upon entering the home I was able to observe the home was in a disarray. There appeared to be a white powdery substance spread around
the baseboards throughout the house. The air condition was turn down low and each room had a floor fan on. Upon walking into the kitchen
located north of the front door, I observed the ceiling appeared to be wet and falling to the floor. I observed a grey rabbit in a cage in the
hallway towards the garage. As I walked into the living room I observed an empty dog crate with dog feces all over the floor. Next to this dog
crate was a send crate with two dogs. The one dog laying on its left side was white in color. The dog look like it was very malnutrition and
was not breathing. The second dog (Brown) was laying on its left side with their head resting on the stomach of the first dog. This dog was
also malnutrition and not breathing. The rest of the area was check with negative results.

Upon going upstairs, there was several large buckets of water flowing over onto the floor. The floor had a tarp laying over the floor. Every
room upstairs had mold and was in a disarray. The baseboards had the same white powdery substance. Several of the rooms upstairs had the
ceiling falling onto the floor. There were no animals or patriots located upstairs.
A search warrant was issued at 1443 hours by Judge Evellen Jewett using the EWarrants system.
It should be noted that Patricia Ward Leahy and her boyfriend Eric Henry Cordero Gomez were arrest on September 26, 2018 by the Orange
County Sheriff’s Office for Defrauding an Innkeeper and Grand Theft. Mr. Gomez and Ms. Leahy had been staying at the Ritz since September
16, 2018. See Orange County case number 18-88485 and case number 18-88444 for further information.

Orange County Animal control arrived on scene just after 1800 hours. The animal control officer stated that they were just out at this home
for five dogs. They spoke to both residents that lived at the home (Patricia Ward Leahy and Eric Henry Cordero Gomez). They are both listed
as the animal owners. Animal Control Officer removed the two deceased dogs from the crate and the rabbit. The case number reference this
case is A18-544625.

It should be noted that Ms. Leahy and Mr. Gomez have been living at this residents since 2016.

I find probable cause to charge Mr. Gomez and Ms. Leahy with two counts of animal cruelty F.S.S. 828.12(2) and Abandonment of animal to
die F.S.S. 828.132c. Officer Meade took pictures of the home and placed them in EForce. Officer Meade and Officer Schlopy both have BWC
in reference to this incident.
