OUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT

 SURVEY ON BUS SHELTERS IN BHOPAL CITY

My training is based on marketing so I have to start with

the survey on advertising elements of telecom sector in Bhopal;
the first assignment gave by my mentor.

He gave me all knowledge about the advertising elements

of telecommunication sector so that I can aware of, how to do
advertisements in this field and which advertising elements are
now in use and which can be used.

The first task of doing the survey on outdoor advertising

elements (bus shelters in Bhopal) is very beneficial for me; I
have to do this task in a group of two, me and my colleague. We
have to calculate that how many bus shelters are there in Bhopal
city of city service star buses, and have to make a report on that:

 Total number of bus shelters in Bhopal.

 How many of them are acquired by telecom

companies.

 How many of them are by others companies.

 Which communication line is written on that?

of working with the corporate world. Our goal is to make the
consumer associate a specific emotion with the product.

We had a great sense of learning and nothing else we need

beyond this. What is learning, Learning is nothing but the
relatively permanent change in the behavior due to experience
and or practice. It is truly said by someone that learning has no
ending; it is the continuous process throughout the life.

Therefore, we learnt all about selling in rural sector and

had a great experience of working with corporate world while
training.
 RURAL SELLING EXPERIENCE AT
Vidisha
o OBSERVATION

After the task of Raisen, the next task which I had met
with was a tour of three days to Vidisha. I had two colleagues
with me to complete this task at Vidisha; we have to sell SIM
cards of IFFCO-AIRTEL at agricultural science and farming
development fair, same as Raisen task.

Green card is also available here at the Agricultural

science and farming development fair at the company’s Stoll for
easy and direct buying by the farmers.

With this sim card we also have to sell the product of Iffco
itself as like at Raisen that is torch and lantern. We had sold
Iffco torch and Iffco lantern also at Raisen and now in Vidisha.
Iffco lantern and torch were also a very useful product by Iffco,
they gave utility to farmers because it has marvelous features in
it.

The main objective of the torch and lantern is to provide

the maximum utility to farmers because it has a wide and
lengthy focus, water proof body and white light focus, and two
years replaceable guaranty which gives full assurance to the
farmer’s investment in it.

PREPAID SIM CARDS AUDITING

Before knowing what is prepaid sim cards auditing, first

let we know what is prepaid. Prepaid is nothing but to paid in
advance before using, and in telecom sector prepaid is the word
using while talking of GSM sim cards. Prepaid sim cards are
most running product of the telecom sector, which has a validity
of incoming and outgoing calls, and it also has a main account
balance or talk time for outgoing calls. For getting recharge
your main account balance, you have to pay in advance and then
use its talk-time or balance. Prepaid recharge or top-up is the
FMCG of telecom sector.

This is the era of life time validity sim cards. Each and
every company wants to launch the GSM services to provide the
facility. Life time validity sim cards are those sim cards which
have life validity for incoming calls, whether you do outgoing
calls or not.
o OBSERVATION

Our task is to audit the different plans of life time validity sim
cards and to observe the most selling plan of life time validity
sim card of Airtel and to compare the feature of sim card and
most selling sim card between Airtel and Idea. For that, our
mentor had made three groups of two trainees each and allots a
specific area for each group to do observation or auditing.

We have to audit the retailers to do our observation and to get

the information from the retailers that which is most selling plan
of life time validity sim card and to make chart of plans.

Our mentor allotted the new market area for auditing and gave
three days to submit the final report.
 RESULT

We completed the task of audit in the given area, and do

our best in gaining the information as much as possible. And
make the report which is most probably beneficial for our
mentor and also to the company.

This report shows that the prepaid life time sim card of
Airtel worth Rs 25/- 99/- and 125/- has more attraction and sales
than others, because it has more customer focus than any other.

• ANALYSIS AND LEARNING

After performing this task we had realized that how much

learning’s and knowledge this training gives to us.

This task gave all the information about the prepaid life
time sim cards available in the market of Airtel and its
competitors, and about the retail sales that which sim card has
more sales, more customer attraction at retail shops and of
which telecom company it was.

With this we learnt all the features of prepaid vouchers,

SIM cards and about their selling in different sectors society, so
all these gave a wonderfull experience at training for life time.
 PREPAID SELLING AT RELIANCE HYPER STORE

Now the next and the last task which we have perform, is
the urban selling of life time prepaid sim cards at reliance hyper
store. Why they (our mentors) named this the urban selling
because we have to sell our product to the high profile
customers who already have a prior knowledge about the
features of the product.

This task also proves interesting for us because selling the

Airtel product at Reliance hyper store is very much surprising
for us and our customer’s also. This is so because Airtel has does
a merger with reliance hyper stores since a couple of months
ago, to sell its Mobile phones, Prepaid sim cards, Easy
recharges, Super value vouchers (svv’s) and vice-versa.
o OBSERVATION

At reliance hyper stores we observed that the customer

enters the door of reliance hyper stores are highly educated and
high profiled. That’s why we named this task ‘the urban selling
at reliance hyper’.

Because of having more outgoing local calls, customers are

very much interested in this sim card because it was having:

For Rs 125/- only:

: Super value voucher already recharge in it.

: Free assured gift.

: Free hello tunes for one month.

: And main balance of Rs 30/-.

: @ Rs 125/- only.

For normal usage customers preferred this sim card

because it was having:

For Rs 51/- only:

: Free assured gift.

: Free hello tunes for a month.

: And main balance of Rs 5/-

: @ Rs 51 only.

 RESULT
After performing the task the result which came out is
marvelous, we sold seventy connections in till the last day of our
training.

We did 10 connections of plan of Rs 51/- each.

We did 61 connections of plan of Rs 125/- each.

Total connections sold were 71.
