Standard". The participant will acquire knowledge necessary to perform and certify maintenance

maintenance manual level.

Basic System overview of controls, indicators, principal components including their location and
purpose, servicing and minor trouble shooting
Level 3 Line and Base Maintenance
In addition to the information contained in level 1 and level 2 training, upon completion of the level 3
training, the participant will be able to:

 Describe how to perform system, component and functional checks as specified in the
maintenance manual.
 Correlate information for the purpose of making decisions in respect of fault diagnosis and
rectification to the maintenance manual level.
 Describe procedures for replacement of components unique to the aircraft to maintenance
manual level.

Course Outline Cross Maintenance Qualification on the A320 aircraft series equipped with IAE V2500 engines for
Maintenance Certifying Technicians – Mechanics and Avionics, who are holders of a type
qualification on A320 aircraft series equipped with CFM 56 engines.
The content of the theoretical difference training element complies with the requirements defined in
the related document for Certifying Staff. The trainee receives difference training on related
systems and must demonstrate by knowledge examination a detailed understanding of those
systems on which he/she received difference training.

Target Group Maintenance Certifying Technicians – Mechanics and Avionics- who are holders of a basic license
or equivalent and seek type qualification on the A320 aircraft equipped with IAE V2500 engines.

Number of participants Recommended Maximum: 12

Prerequisites It is recommended for the trainees to be familiar with turbine powered transport aircraft and digital
electronic equipment, and to have the knowledge and experience required for maintaining turbine
powered transport aircraft. Trainees should be able to read, write and communicate at an

Course Outline This course is in compliance with EASA Part-66, Appendix III "Type Training and Examination
Standard". The participant will acquire aircraft type related knowledge necessary to issue Certificate

Course Outline The EWIS training is based on EASA AMC 20-22 and FAA AC120-94.
EWIS Initial and Continuation Training is now mandatory in order to comply with the training
