ROOM PARENTS This committee is responsible for liaising with the parents and the Chavonne ODom
teachers. The committee will thrive to encourage greater connection Madhura Valverde
and community by organizing outings and playdates. The committee Chanel Smith
will also assist the classrooms by ensuring that the teachers have the Chenee Williams

DIVERSE BY Sela’s commitment to creating the next generation of global leaders Cameron Brannum
DESIGN requires the community to also engage in discussion surrounding Chavonne Odom
diversity. This committee will assist the PTSA’s efforts to promote Madhura Valverde
conversations and learning opportunities about what diversity means Clint McPherson
for Sela (looking at implicit bias studies, race relations, etc.) Zaneta Chambers

SCHOOL LIBRARY Last year, the PTSA and school administration jumpstarted a Sela Chavonne Odom
Library project, which is still in its infancy. This year, the PTSA Zaneta Chambers
will take over the management and operation of the library. This Nick Murphy
committee will oversee the PTSA’s efforts in ensuring that the Sela
library is staffed and running.
