Exploring 2-D and 3-D Shapes

1. In a zip-lock bag there are colorful 2-dimensional shapes. Go

through and name each shape. After Identifying the shapes, with
the dry-erase marker provided, label the sides and corners of each
shape.
2. Next, get out the magnifying glass from the zip-lock bag. We are
going to go on a scavenger hunt! Around the house or outside, use
the check-list to mark off 3-dimsensional shapes you see.
3. After checking off the 3-dimensional shapes, on the non-laminated
page labeled “3-dimensional scavenger hunt finds”, draw and write
about what you found while on your scavenger hunt.
