NARRATIVE AND DIAGRAM
Unit 2, a Pedacyclist, is traveling southbound on Chenevert Street in the right lane of traffic.
The driver of Unit 1 disregards the facing STOP sign and enters the intersection of the two roadways, failing to properly clear the intersection;
driving without due regard. Unit 2 enters into the intersection at approximately the same time.
The force of the collision causes the rider of Unit 2 to be abruptly ejected from his seated position. The Pedacyclist body makes contact with
the hood of Unit 1 and his forward momentum causes his body to continue in a southbound direction as Unit 1 continues to travel eastbound.
This causes the clothing worn by the Pedacyclist to leave an impression in the paint, impression transfer, on the hood of Unit 1 in a diagonal
direction from the left front to the right “A” pillar/windshield area on the passenger side of the motor vehicle. The head of the Pedacyclist
makes contact with the lower center right half side of the passenger side windshield of Unit 1, causing the windshield to break. The head of
the Pedacyclist partially enters the interior front right passenger area of Unit 1 ﴾Upper right area of the Windshield/A‐Pillar﴿, depositing
numerous head hair follicles within the windshield glass. The momentum of the Pedacyclist body is still continuing in a southbound direction
as Unit 1 continues to travel eastbound. The center mass of the Pedacyclist body rotates over his head, across the right A‐Pillar/Roof of Unit
1. A small blood spatter was observed on the front right passenger door window. The momentum of the Pedacyclist center mass causes his
head to be extracted from being embedded within the windshield. The continuing momentum of the Pedacyclist body causes the body to be
ejected from Unit 1. The Pedacyclist comes to rest partially in the right grassy area of the easement and partially within the southbound lane
of traffic of Wichita Street, approximately sixty eight feet ﴾68’﴿ from the Point Of Impact, located by blood spatter deposits left on the grass.
Unit 2, the bicycle, is carried in an eastbound direction along with the momentum of Unit 1. At some point Unit 2 becomes dislodged from
Unit 1 and comes to rest approximately ninety seven feet ﴾97’﴿ from the Point Of Impact in the middle of Wichita Street.
Unit 2 continues to travel approximately one hundred feet ﴾100’﴿ from the Point Of Impact, eastbound on Wichita Street before it is brought
to rest by its respective driver in the right lane of traffic. The left front tire of Unit 1 deposited an Erasure Mark ﴾Shadowing﴿ approximately
fifty one point three feet ﴾51.3’﴿ in length to its Point of Rest.
