The Protective Services Awards Dinner was
held on Oct. 23 at the Strathmore Golf Course
and included dignitaries and special guests
lead by the Alberta’s Firefighter’s Pipes and
Drums Band. Mayor Pat Fule, Councillor De-
nise Peterson, Councillor Jason Montgom-
ery, Councillor Lorraine Bauer and Councillor
Bob Sobol were in attendance for the event.
Awards and medals were presented for Fire
Services Exemplary Services, Alberta Emer-
gency Services, Municipal Long Service
Awards, Years of Service Awards – 5, 10, 15,
25, and Alberta Fire Chief’s Life Time Mem-
bership Award. The evening also included a
swearing in of the one-year probationary fire-

Disagreements in Europe over territory and boundaries, among other issues, came captured the shattered remains of Regina Trench on November 11. A week later, in
