1. Cricket (Men)
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising 11 + 4 (subs) players max
• The match will be of Maximum 10 overs. Only Finals will have 12 overs
• All matches will be played with yellow heavy cricket tennis balls. New ball will be provided at
• The result of a tied game will be decided by super over. If the super over is tied, the team that
has hit maximum number of Sixes in the super over will be the winner
• If the ball is lost during the course of the game, another ball of the same condition (subject to

2. Basketball
a. For men
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising 10 players max (5+5
substitutes)
• The referee’s decision will be deemed final in any case of controversy and that will stand above

3. Futsal (Men)
• Team Size: There will be 1 team from the institute comprising of 10 players max. (6+4
substitutes)
• The duration of each match will be 35 mins (15-5-15) and Finals it will be 45 mins (20-5-20)
• 5 mins halves for ET. If further tied, game will be decided by penalty shoot-out [Penalty rules
• A maximum of 4 substitutes will be allowed per team in a game. Substitutions are rolling and
can be done even when the ball is in play but by informing the referee only

• If a player is shown a red card or two yellow cards, he will miss the next match and also

4. Throwball (Women)
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising 10 players max (6+4
substitutes)
• The referee’s decision will be deemed final in any case of controversy and that will stand
• Matches consist of a best of 3 sets, except finals which will have 5 sets
• A set is won by the team which first scores 15 points with a minimum lead of two points
• The format will be knockout or round robin based on number of participating team

5. Volleyball (Men)
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising 9 players max (6+3
substitutes)
• Matches consist of a best of 3 sets, except finals which will have 5 sets
• A set (except the deciding, final set) is won by the team which first scores 25 points with a
• In the case of a 1-1 set tie or a 2-2 set tie, the deciding set (the final) is played to 15 points

• Team Size: The team will comprise of minimum 2 & maximum 4 players
• It will be in the format of 2 singles & 1 doubles per team (singles-doubles-singles). Any player

7. Carrom (Men & Women)
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising of 3 men + 2 women
• There will be Men single, Women Single, Men double, where a team which has maximum
points will win the match (Point system will be explained before the start of the match)
• All the international rules will be followed as per the carrom federation website

8. Chess (Men & Women)
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising 4 players (2 men & 1
woman + 1 substitute)
• All games would be played with 20 minutes’ clock time to each player
• Match Draws at any stage and in any structure, will be decided by a tiebreaker

9. Table Tennis (Men & Women)
• Team Size: There will be only 1 team from the institute comprising minimum 4 players (3

• Each of the singles and doubles will be a best of 3 games of 11 points each.
• Participants can carry their own TT bats. However, the TT bats and balls will be provided by
the organizer.

The Tournament Organizers reserves the right to cancel or modify the tournament rules if fraud,
technical failures or any other factor beyond reasonable control, impairs the integrity of the
tournament. The decisions of the organizers of the contest will be final and binding on all the
participants.
