INTRODUCTION
Before we can start the essay, there’s a question that need to be asked: What is feminism?
Do you have a clear concept of it? In case you don’t, let me tell what feminism is.
It is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements, this have
campaigned and continue to campaign for women's rights, including the right to vote, to
hold public office, to work, etc. After knowing the meaning you may already understand
how our society used to work before feminism, there’s when we start talking about a
GENDERED society. Society is gendered from the clothes people choose to wear right
down to the toys children choose to play with. Even the simplest objects have a significant
impact on the way they behave. Most children do not understand the meaning of
kindness; they judge other kids by the way they look or the gender stereotypes. These roles
are very well conditioned that if other children should step out of the roles they can be
easily criticized. People should be more aware of the fact that this could be the cause of a
patriarchal society.

FEMINISM: IN A GENDERED
SOCIETY
No matter is it good or catastrophically bad, every idea can be presented as a quest for
freedom. Last century showed us that feminism is, still today, trapped between two
ideologies. Always opposed, those ideologies use feminism as a line that divides them. This
position of constant compression, trapped feminism to materialize its ideas only to gender
equality. That position stayed even today. But, feminism is more than this; first and fore
most it is an idea of intellectual freedom. That kind of luxury does not exist even in the
most liberal countries in the world. Why? There is a library of answers to this question.
Nevertheless, feminism has had an enormous impact through all western civilization. This
impact on the society is what this paper is about. Positive or negative are mere opinions that
nowadays everybody can have. Democracy without feminism would be a slavery in the
form of saying “Behind every great man, there’s a great woman”. We as a society do not
need that kind of intellectual thinking anymore.
Feminism has changed the society only to better. Yes, there are also some bad examples, as
in any area of life. Feminism is not a perfect idea, but in the end – which one is? Feminism
was an intellectual scream a century ago. Today feminism represents those women who
broke those intellectual chains in countries that are still today learning how to use
democracy as a tool of a liberal society. We as a society that is today living those ideas,
ideas incorporated in our habits, must not judge feminism, but embrace this universal idea
as a milestone for generations to come. So let’s fight for a world where man and women
have the same rights in society, because the gender doesn’t determinate a person behavior,
intelligence or talent.

In conclusion, sustained by the points made in the last essay the current society should
support feminism and stop gender stereotypes.
