ALGEBRA REVIEW

*This review was written specifically to assist students who are taking Math 116, as it consists of problems
that cover many of the concepts these students are expected to be familiar with. However, it can be helpful
to anyone wishing to review:

 Graphs  Finding inverses of functions

 Graphing equations  Domain and range of functions
 Slopes of linear graphs  Factoring
 Calculating points of intersection  Logarithm functions
between graphs  Exponential functions
 Finding where the graphs are below and
above the x-axis
 Discontinuities
 Asymptotes
 Finding x-intercepts [ie. “zeros”]
 End behaviors
 Calculating the vertex of quadratic
equations
