Actions - draws corner of mouth inferiorly and

- draws skin of neck superiorly when
teeth are clenched

• Superior attachment- the inferior


border of mandible, skin and
subcutaneous tissues of lower face
• Inferior attachment- fascia
covering superior parts of
pectoralis major and deltoid
muscles
