Cold Weather test conducted at -60 degree centigrade for Ring lock
Components:
1. Rosette Ductility Test:

The Rosette was cooled to -60 degree centigrade temperature and was bent to 80 degree in a
fixture using universal testing machine. The material grain direction was taken in both
longitudinal and transverse direction.

Result: No cracks were observed in both the direction when bent to 80 degree at -60 degree
temperature.

2. Tube Ductility test both Axial and Circumferential test:

Steel strips were bent in both Axial and Circumferential direction of various Heat number.

3.Bending Moment Test:

Bending moment test done at cooled -60 degree Temp. and a load of 1400 lbs x ft(635.6 Kg
f) was given at one foot distance, and observed there is no crack on weld joint ,ledger head
etc..

4.Horizontal Force Test:

Techring assembly with Ledger at -60 degree temperature was loaded on UTM machine
 TECHNOCRAFT INDUSTRIES (I) LTD.

A-4/1, MIDC, MURBAD. DIST: THANE. MAHARASHTRA.

The load of 50 KN was given and observed that the wedge start to bend and all other
observation like welding quality, ring and ledger head were found to be satisfactory.

5.Shear Force Test:

The shear force test was conducted at -60 degree temp. And a load of 47 KN was given,
observed satisfactory result, i.e. No crack on Ring, welding and ledger head.

6. Ledger Weld Test:

The 0.65 mtr.ledger was mounted on the standard and the load of 1400 lbs x ft (635 Kgf) was
applied at a distance of 300 mm from the fixed end, observed satisfactory result, i.e. No Weld
crack on the ledger welding and also on the Ring welding.

7.We had got tested the HR coil strip for cold impact test at -30 degree temperature for
various heat number, and found satisfactory result. The test certificate is attached with this
report separately.
